If you are planning a family vacation this year and are going to take that dog with you there are some precautions to take. First it really depends on where you are going to go. Likely it will be in the spring or summer so you will have to make sure that your dog stays cool. That means that you will need to bring along some fresh water and something for your dog to drink out of that is easy to get to since your regular dog bowl will probably be packed with the rest of your stuff. Next, you have to make sure that the place you are heading to allows dogs on the premises.
Many times that narrows down the options available to you. Some nice options to consider are camp grounds like KOA. Many if not most of them allow dogs as long as you promise to clean up after them. There are plenty of spaces to take long walks and play with your dog so they make for an ideal vacation spot for you and for your dog. If you live near the ocean, or at least reletively close you can find a KOA campground near the ocean and really give your dog some space to run around.
